Cala Codolar or Cala Codolá in Formenetera, is located just over two kilometers south of the La Mola Lighthouse. A jewel for adventurers.
Location: Pilar de la MolaSee on map
The Codolar Cove is for adventurers, since access is very complicated. It is located on a cliff, and it is actually an access to the Mediterranean Sea directly from the rocks (it is less than five meters wide). In any case, you will have to get around the cliff on foot, come in one direction or another.
The Cala Codolar is just 3km away from the Pilar de la Mola, so I advise you to leave your vehicle in the parking lot in the Faro de la Mola and start your walk from there.
You will find a route with a stone wall and it will take you about 20 minutes to reach this cove that is located in the middle of the cliff.
Another option is, once going towards the lighthouse, take the detour that is at kilometer 18.6 and go down to an esplanade where you can leave the car.
The rest, on foot, reaching a staircase carved in rock in the last meters. It is the option to choose if we want to know all the beaches of the island, if we want to isolate ourselves completely or if we want to practice professional climbing. Another attraction of this small cove is that it has one of the most spectacular views of Formentera.
