If you want to plan your trip to Formentera – and we are here to help you – you will be able to see the famous and hidden jewels of this paradise, without having to rent any vehicle, just using the public transport, which is recommended in many places, in this island even more.

The company that provides the bus service is called Autocares Paya. The frequency of the schedule intensifies when the high season comes. Therefore, even on a busy day everyone gets a ride.

Line 1 and 2 are the main, but in summer there are up to 7 lines available, to cover all the needs of citizens and tourists. L1 connects the port of La Savina with main towns (Es Pujols Sant Ferran, Sant Francesc) surrounding the Pudent lake, while the L2 goes down to La Mola and lighthouse. The bus fare in Formentera is 1.80 € for the short and € 2.55 for the long route – the driver or the other passengers can explain you the difference. There are also multiple ride tickets available (20 rides) and a special student ticket, with reduced price. That’s why we have mentioned before, that this is a very practical solution, if you plan it well.
